Presently I work as Power Plants O&M manager in renewable energy department of the largest Estonian power generation company. In this role I am responsible for technical integrity and high performance level of biomass-fired CHP plants, gas-fired cogeneration CHP plants, and small-scale hydro power plants. Worked as a maintenance engineer in gas pipeline operating company. Primary duties included monitoring of execution and progress of contractual works on pipeline dry sections. • Defined scope of maintenance work on dry section installations in compliance with accepted Codes and Standards. • Initiated development of Asset Integrity Management Plans for dry section facilities • Oversaw ongoing service contracts, followed up work performance • Participated in negotiation with contractors and proposed amendments to service contracts • Provided Engineering Support during Planned Shut Down campaign, made recommendations to improve reliability • Coordinated documentation development and acceptance with multiple contractors. • Managed warehouse and spare parts inventory.

As a member of project team of EPC contractor I participated in commissioning and start-up of the gas fired Trigeneration CHCP power plant. • Performed integrated commissioning tests including fault finding and rectifications • Identified, recorded and cleared installation deficiencies, set up satisfactory trials conditions, monitored plant performance. Liaised with subcontractors to ensure prompt detection of problems. • Developed technical specifications and preventive maintenance plans for MWM genset, Aprovis steam generator, and Johnson Controls chillers. Checked the handover and acceptance of project documentation. • Took part in design and review of DCS and SCADA systems, checked P&IDs and approved drawings.

Joined Silikaat as an experienced engineer at 02.2010. As a sole chartered engineer, maintained oversight responsibility for operation, servicing and maintenance of a full range of industrial equipment. • Provided direction and leadership for 6 skilled mechanics across three shifts. • Reduced contractor staff and improved personnel capability by implementing condition based monitoring to facilitate faster repairs, improve equipment efficiency, and reduce S/Ds. • Renovated water pumping station, reduced water supply network downtime and operating cost. • Proposed capital and energy saving projects like combined heat&power cogeneration and water/water heat pump installation • Monitored and developed allocated budget for heat and water production. • Reduced O&M costs by 40% via spare parts, workforce and plant performance optimization.

Due to my proven leadership skills and significant achievements in previous positions with Dalika I was promoted to Maintenance Department Deputy Manager. In this position I was acting as a maintenance authority for all aspects of company Asset Integrity Management issues. • Managed team of 24 skilled mechanics and 3 mechanical supervisors spanning 3 large CHP plants and associated District Heating Network facilities. • Facilitated and led cross functional team of technicians trained to maintain and troubleshoot diverse range of mechanical equipment (gas engines, steam and hot water boilers, gas pipelines, fuel storages, steam turbines, lifting and rotating equipment) • Implemented Predictive and Preventive Maintenance Programs in compliance with accepted Codes and national Regulations. • Prepared manuals for maintenance procedures (tasks, resources, duration, spares, tools, data reports) • Followed up work performance and progress status, ensured accuracy of work orders and checklists, operated CMMS software. • Coordinated work activities with other company departments to ensure optimal use of manpower and materials. • Investigated chronic failures and unplanned S/Ds, determined root causes, recommended repairs and improvements to prevent repetitive failures, created KPI-s to monitor continuous improvement process. • Developed Maintenance strategies for Critical equipment identified Potential Failure Modes and made recommendations to improve reliability. • Participated in development of critical spare parts philosophy and selection process, managed warehouse and inventory.

As a successful Plant Manager I was assigned to initiate District Heating Network renovation project in Montreynaud (Saint–Etienne, France) and apply cogeneration scheme to existing plant for onsite combined power and heat production. • Defined project scope and prepared project plan, calculated heat and electricity demands. • Performed technical and economical calculations for gas turbine and gas engine options • Selected equipment in compliance with project objectives and applied technical and safety standards. • Prepared conceptual layout and FEED of a new plant, utility and infrastructure. • Coordinated with engineering consultants in preparation of drawings and specifications, prepared bid requests for new equipment, reviewed and approved vendor drawings. • Developed Life Cycle Cost analysis before recommending investments • Reported project status at project meetings.

After company acquisition by Dalkia (European leader in Energy Services) I was promoted to a small scale CHP plants O&M manager. • Monitored and analysed plants performance through data reports, prepared performance statistics. • Developed new projects including work scope and preliminary cost estimates, inspected new equipment and construction, managed installations and start-ups working closely with large EPC contractor. • Integrated DCS and SCADA systems at existing facilities to get automated alerts on asset conditions. • Scheduled preventive maintenance procedures including major overhauls, provided troubleshooting. • Monitored execution of service contracts and checked handover and acceptance of technical documentation.

After graduation from Tallinn University I joined local Utility which supplied with Power and Heat up to 75% premises in Tallinn. In this role I performed following tasks • Led site based team of 12 plant operators across 3 shifts. • Planned, assigned and directed work, appraised performance, rewarded and disciplined employees. • Developed competency and training requirements for O&M personnel. • Took part in regular inspections, made preparatory works for testing of boilers, gas pipelines, back-pressure steam turbines and other plant equipment. • Provided management and availability of required permitting and legal documentation.
